Off the back of more wonderful media coverage for DOTS, including this piece on Metro Online, Sunday May 7th saw Michelle, Jade (Street Vets) and Kimberly (City Sit Stay) set up for another weekly doggy station.

One of our regulars, Lola was first to arrive.

Gorgeous Lola greeted people by the wonderful street art our dear homeless fried Dodge did for us. Lola did some work with Kimberley from City Sit Stay during her visit. They worked on some distraction training as Lola can get a little bit barky when other dogs approach her. It went really well! To be continued…

Then came Misty who sported a new branded neckerchief collar kindly sponsored by Zukie Style

Ty returned to us from the week before, and had tons of fun with a new Kong teddy toy!

Gunner made a return visit and left with a new padded harness and some delicious food courtesy of Barking Heads and Nature Diet, our loyal foodie supporters.

Babe came back for a veterinary check up and is doing brilliantly! She too left with a big bag of goodies…

After the station, Michelle and Jade took to the streets to do some mobile outreach and met another dashing Gunner! Jade gave the handsome Akita cross Mastiff a full health check, flea treatment and even microchipped him before giving him a big bag of treats! Gunner is now registered with DOTS and we hope to see him again soon at a street station.

There’s just so much going on for DOTS just now, which is brilliant but it can be hard to keep up with the important job of taking to the streets. So we’ve set up a Linked In page for where we will be sharing voluntary vacancies in the coming weeks. So keep and eye out here and on our other social media, and if you could spare a few hours a week to come on board and have the skills we need, there could be just the opportunity very soon!

DID YOU KNOW…that we now have over 40 street dogs registered with DOTS! All in such a short space of time. It’s so wonderful to know that their owners have someone to call should they need. But we can’t do this work without YOU. If you have some spare pennies, we really do appreciate any donations to help us help London’s homeless pups. If you are able, head here to donate what you can.
