Last night, July 12th, saw the return of our weekly Kings Cross hub station where we were armed with doggy essentials and veterinary professionals to tend to the doggies that we perhaps don’t get to meet on The Strand every Sunday.
It’s so encouraging to hear that word of DOTS is spreading among the homeless community as many of the new additions to be registered with DOTS at Kings Cross are showing up to this new hub station via word of mouth.
Last night we added a few little newbies to the DOTS register, plus welcomed some familiar faces all of which got tons of loving care. We love you doggies.
So, without further ado…
Lovely lady Ellie
Our first visitor of the evening was 14 year old Ellie. Ellie will need to come to our main station to receive further support so we hope to see her Sunday. We found out that Ellie is fearful of buses though, they make her poorly sick so we are going to arrange transport for her and dad to ensure that they can definitely make it to our main station as Ellie needs some extra medical support and to also be vaccinated.
Next up was Lexi…what a pretty girl! She received a health check and dad took some important essentials including a new collar, food, bowl & treats.
Oh hey K!
Our regular K came by to pick up a new collar, lead, harness, blanket, food and all important scrummy treats. K also had a health check and appears to be doing just fine. He wears a muzzle for precautionary reasons and is camera shy and kept turning his back on Michelle every time she tried to take a piccie. Cooooeeeey, over here K! Nope.
Tyson the bear cub
That’s it! That’s just what gorgeous boy Tyson is like. A playful little bear cub! We just love it when he and dad come to see us. There’s a real special bond between us and Tyson and Michelle is trying to work her magic to improve their circumstances very soon. More to come on that as we might need your help…So after loads of cuddles and kisses, Tyson and dad were on their way.
Snowy in July
Our last visitor of the evening was a first time guest to DOTS, having heard about us on the streets. What a beautiful pup! Snowy received a full health check including a flea treatment. A goodie bag containing a new harness, lead, collar and brush was provided. See you again soon Snowy!
HELP US TO HELP THEM…
We are in desperate need of Denta Stix, doggy treats, training treats, Pedigree sachets and medium sized dog bowls. Could you make up a little care package to send to us? If so, please send to:
