August already and the first Sunday of the month saw team DOTS make for The Strand for an afternoon of meeting, greeting and treating lots of street doggies…

At the end of what was an extremely emotional week given Misty leaving us for Rainbow Bridge, the team wanted to make sure that it was business as usual to ensure our other dear furry friends were cared for and their owners supported. And there was a special surprise for one doggy dad whose birthday it was!

In memory of Misty, we displayed a beautiful photo of our special girl at the station, along with a candle and a bowl of some of Misty’s favourite treats for her other doggy friends to enjoy. Her daddy came for a visit and found some comfort as Michelle showed him all the love on social media that his ‘co-pilot’ and himself had received throughout her last week.

It ended up being a busy station as we welcomed 9 of our friends…

Welcome Gizmo!

First up was newbie Gizmo who came along for a full health check before being treated to a new harness, collar, lead and lots of foodie goodness. He was registered with DOTS and we hope to see him again soon for a restock.

Oh hey Fizz…

Next to come say hi was 15 year old Fizz who was seen by the vets for a blood test before getting treats galore from the essentials table including a big bag of healthy food.

Give us a smile Babe!

You don’t have to wait long for this beauty to give you a big happy grin. Just look at those chops! She received her weekly check up and a big restock of food, treats and loads of tickles.

Big boy Gunner

Ahhh, one that Michelle has known for many years. Gunner popped by to get his fill of food and goodies.

Britney’s back!

A relative newbie to DOTS, Britney swung by again to have a health check and a big fuss made of her. She was such a good girl, watching the world go by as dad selected all the essentials for his best friend for the week ahead.

Only the best will do for…

Princess! Well look at how pretty this girl was this week. She received a new kong toy, a full health check and a big bag of essentials.

Tyson the tennis ball fiend…

Oh hi there mister! What could you possibly be on the hunt for we wonder? New tennis balls? DOTS is only too happy to oblige for this playful boy. Tyson also got his ears checked and cleaned.

Our Lucky day…

We love a visit from one of Michelle’s oldest street friends, Lucky. Such a lovely girl who is doing really well on the heart disease medication we started her on. Lucky had a once over by the vet before leaving with a big bag of food and treats.

Last but not least…

Little lad Jethro popped to see us to complete our station this week. He had been neutered earlier in the week as funded by DOTS and he is healing really well. It was Jethros dads birthday so we got the cake out! How sweet that his dad gave us a lovely gift too though!  A card and a box of chocs for looking after his best friend through his surgery.

So brilliant to see so many lovely furry faces…

See you all again soon!
